What can I expect from my first visit with Dr. Tamzin?

Your first visit will last approximately 60 minutes. During this time, Dr. Tamzin will review your health history and discuss your current health concerns in more depth. All questions and concerns are encouraged as this information will help Dr. Tamzin create a treatment plan specific to your needs. A focused physical examination and laboratory testing may be indicated at this time.

What do I need to bring to my first visit?

Please print and fill out the intake form indicated in the “New Patient” section of Dr. Tamzin’s website as well as the results of any recent lab work you may have done.  If you do not have a copy of your recent lab work, Dr. Tamzin can request this information during your initial visit with your authorization.

How often do I need to see Dr. Tamzin?

Depending on your health concerns, visit numbers vary. On average, for patients who are experiencing acute health concerns, a visit once every 1-2 weeks until the condition resolves. As for patients with chronic health concerns, visits once every 3-4 weeks help to monitor progress. Once a patient has reach optimal health, follow up visits once per season are encouraged.

Is Naturopathic Medicine covered under my Extended Medical Plan?

Most extended Healthcare plans, such as Sun Life Financial, Great West Life, Manulife, Green Shield and Pacific Blue Cross, will cover a portion or all of your naturopathic medical visits. It’s always recommended that you check with your extended Healthcare provider regarding your individual coverage.

Is Naturopathic Medicine covered under MSP?

Currently, there is no MSP coverage for office visits with your naturopathic doctor.
